China's industrial production index in 3rd quarter 2016 only up like initial 2015

The course of China's industrial production from the year 2000 to 2015 is already published here. As growth rates of industrial production have recently changed more strongly, this article follows their quarterly and temporarily monthly course.

Update January 19th, 2017 - The diagram shows the growth rates since November 2015. They moved in a range from 5.4% to 6.8%. These are rates adjusted for prices, i.e. real growth rates.


From January to November 2016 industrial production grew by 6.0% compared to the same period of previous year according to the National Statistical Office of China.

Index of China's industrial production increases in 3rd quarter 2016 as weak as initial 2015

The diagram shows the quarterly index changes of China's industrial production since the first quarter 2013 up to the third quarter 2016.

In 2015 industrial production grew continuously, however, at lower growth rates as the diagram confirms. In first half-year the quarterly growth rates are slightly higher than prior year. A relative setback happens in 3rd quarter 2016.
