PROFINET - Integration with Softing
After the inclination to invest was low last year, this has been strongly changing during the last months. Softing is extensively receiving requests on support regarding the integration of real time Ethernet into devices and systems. PROFINET and EtherCAT are most frequently demanded.

There are two kinds of uses for our stacks.
Porting on an existing customer hardware
A large number of operating systems and hardware architectures are supported. An Ethernet interface provided, PROFINET can be installed in shortest time.

Hardware-based integration
A complete module contains both the hardware and the software for a PROFINET connection. The module is integrated via a flexible interface.

- Of course, a parallel use of the standard IT protocols is possible in both kinds of use.
- For testing purposes an evaluation possibility is available.
- The PROFINET stack has passed the Conformance Test and is already implemented in devices e.g. from Omron and Cisco for industrial use.
