Production and sales of electrical equipment currently in growth trend

Update February 4th, 2019 - After the world economy crisis production of electrical equipment climbed out from its crisis trough. Its yearly trend (dashed line in the diagram) reached its top in February 2012 with 106.0 index points without having hit the pre-crisis level (107.5).


Afterwards production dropped somewhat and established a stagnation with ups and downs up to the end of year 2017.

Since January 2018, production has been climbing above the level of February 2012 developing a growth trend of 1.9% per year.

In June, the production growth trend reached 107.5 index points, the pre-crisis level of 2008 for the first time. In November the growth trend is at 107,9 index points.

Sales of electrical equipment in growth trend since November 2017 at 3.1% p.a.

The sales trend (dashed line in the diagram) already exceeded the pre-crisis level (103.4) in October 2011 and thus ended the crisis in this sector. The sales trend peaked at the beginning of 2012 with 106.0 index points.

Then, like production, sales entered a phase of stagnation. Finally, in November 2017 they surpassed the previous trend peak (106.0) and since then have established a growth trend of 3.1% per year until November 2018.
