July 2nd, 2019 - The ranking of the worldwide ten largest automobile manufacturers shows no change within a year's time.


The market share of the top tier of two companies with market shares of 10% and more remains unchanged.

The group of automakers with 5% to below 10% market share loses two percentage points and drops from 34.5% to 32.5% within a year's time. Only Nissan and Honda maintain their market shares.


The group of the worldwide ten largest automakers with fewer than 5% market share increases its market share in a year's time by one percentage point from 11.8% to 12.8%. This is mainly caused by slightly rising market shares of Renault and PSA in year's time.


Despite a growing global auto production from 2017 to 2016 by 2.4% the market share of the ten largest automakers decreased  from 67.8% to 66.8%.
