M2M Summit 2015: From Internet of Things to Internet of Everything

“Smart Connect – The Fascination of IoT” was the motto of the M2M Summit 2015, which took place this year September 8-9 at Congress Center Düsseldorf. Even after the ninth edition of Europe's largest industry meeting, there are still signs that the networking of intelligent devices and systems is far from having reached its peak.

22. September 2015 - Around 700 participants from 30 countries and nearly 60 exhibitors - the interest in M2M, IoT and Industry 4.0 is still high amongst developers, suppliers and users.

The themes of the two-day conference program ranged from Consumer Applications and Data Security to Industry 4.0 and Big Data. In thematic sessions such as Automotive, Smart City, and EU Market and Policy, internationally recognized experts spoke on various aspects of M2M communication. The moderated panel discussions touched on the economic, political and social impact of technology (such as questions about autonomous driving), examined from different perspectives.

In addition to the thought-provoking presentations and discussions, the exhibition area at the Summit offered "M2M to Touch." Developers and suppliers were able to physically showcase their latest developments and solutions to visitors.

The next opportunity will take place October 5-6, 2016 at the Congress Center Dusseldorf for the 10th M2M Summit.
